I've said it before and I will say it again: photographing kids as they grow up and change is the best. This little sweetie just turned two, and she's getting promoted to big sister in a few short months! It truly feels like I was just photographing her for first birthday, but sigh, how quickly a year flies by. Happy birthday Emma!
Welcome to the first official day of summer! I know I'm going to blink and it will be winter again, but for right now, it's pretty nice to be enjoying plenty of long, sunny days. It definitely felt like summer when I visited Ron and Diane's beautiful cottage to photograph them with their amazing family. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and we had the best morning together. (I wonder how many times you can just casually "drop by for a visit" before you're officially banned. Asking for a friend.)
Man, oh man, I don't even know where to begin describing how much I loved this whole session. I always enjoy a good maternity shoot, but after spending about two minutes with these two, I felt like I had known them forever (and anyone who will chuckle at my cheesy jokes is an automatic winner in my book). They even laughed when I (inappropriately?) quoted lyrics from The Notorious B.I.G., so pretty sure they're my favorites. Can't wait to meet their little baby girl this summer!
I first met Craig and Danielle when Beckett was just a bun in the oven, and boy, has he grown! I'm not sure I have ever had a happier kid to photograph; Beckett was all smiles and laughs. I loved every minute of this beautiful session with this amazing family.
When Nate and Tammi said they wanted winter engagement photos, we scheduled for the dead of February, because that's a safe bet, right? Oh, Michigan, you can be a real joker. (We all agreed that sunny with mild temperatures was actually pretty great.) The morning I spent with Nate and Tammi was so fun, and I could not be more excited for their wedding in September. (I'd like to thank both Grand Rapids Brewing Company and Founders for letting us shoot in their amazing facilities!)
