I swear this has been the best year for photographing cuddly babies! Little Joseph here was the most cooperative subject, and I had such a great time with his big brother and his parents. (Now who has a baby I can snuggle for an afternoon?!)

Baby Eliza is the sweetest little peanut, and I loved getting to spend the morning with her and her amazingly cool parents. Also, any session that involves both babies and cats ranks pretty high in my book.
It's been a long time since I experienced a first day back to school (and I can't lie, it's kind of a relief to have those milestones in the rearview mirror), so it seemed appropriate to share a few of my favorites from Sophie's senior session in honor of all the kids hitting the books again. I'm not exaggerating when I say that it practically rained the entire day, and I was convinced our session was going to be a rainy disaster. But wouldn't you know, just as Sophie rolled up for her pictures, the rain disappeared, and we enjoyed a totally dry night. It was pure magic, my friends.
It's hard to explain how happy I am to meet all kinds of wonderful families simply for the purpose of capturing a few special photographs. There's nothing better than documenting love and family and kids being kids, and this session was all of that. The Vryhof family was so relaxed and fun, and we had a pretty perfect afternoon for making memories.
Happy Friday, my friends! This beautiful family is about to grow by one, and I love that we captured a few memories of Cam as he prepared to celebrate turning two. I don't always succeed at winning over kids, but apparently Cam was a big fan of my barnyard impersonations. (I will moo with no shame if it gets a kid to crack a smile.)
